SEN Teacher – New Provision Unit – Primary School, Blackpool
Start Date: September | Full-Time | Location: Blackpool | Pay: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)
Teaching Personnel are proud to be working with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Blackpool that is launching a brand-new SEN provision unit from September 2025. The school is now looking to appoint a passionate, skilled, and confident SEN Teacher to lead and deliver high-quality teaching to pupils with a range of additional needs.
About the Role:
This is a full-time, long-term role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. You will play a key role in shaping the success of the new provision, supporting children with EHCPs and complex learning needs within a nurturing, structured environment attached to the mainstream setting.
Responsibilities:
* Delivering personalised learning to pupils with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs
* Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons in line with individual targets
* Working collaboratively with the SENCO, support staff, and external professionals
* Monitoring progress and contributing to annual reviews and EHCP updates
* Creating a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – essential
* Proven experience working with children with SEN, either in mainstream or specialist settings
* Strong knowledge of SEND strategies and the primary curriculum
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills
* A creative, patient, and resilient approach
* A desire to help build and shape a new provision from the ground up
