Location: IMSK Physiotherapy Department, Penrith Hospital, Penrith.
Salary: £25,760 - £27,476 per annum pro rata.
Hours: Part time, Job share, 30 hours per week (Monday - Friday).
Contract: 12 months (Fixed term from June 2026 until June 2027).
Job overview
An opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Administrator to join the IMSK Service at Penrith Hospital. This role will involve liaising with other administrators and health care professionals, creating an integrated care pathway ensuring seamless transition to secondary care services, enabling patient care to be delivered to the highest possible standard. As an administrator working under the general direction of the administrative team lead, duties include maintaining administrative digital and manual systems, procedures and records to enable the team to deliver an effective patient journey.
Main duties of the job
Carry out referral activities through care pathways across primary, secondary and acute settings. Daily telephone contact with patients. Schedule appointments for patients and deal with general enquiries, and other delegated administrative tasks.

* Experience of diary management.
* Knowledge of NHS guidelines.
* Previous administrative experience within NHS.
Qualifications
* NVQ3 administration or relevant experience.
* Minimum GCSE qualification in English Language or equivalent.
* RSA II word processing or equivalent.
* ECDL.

Standard Check: £21.50 + Administration cost of £6.50 = £28.00, deducted from salary over a 4‑month period or a one‑off payment.
Enhanced Check: £49.50 + administration cost of £6.50 = £56.00, deducted from salary over a 4‑month period or a one‑off payment.
