About the Practice
We’re partnering with a leading international architecture practice delivering large-scale industrial and big-box retail schemes across the UK and globally. Following continued growth and major project wins, they are looking to appoint an Associate Director to lead key projects and play a central role in both delivery and team leadership.
The Role
Based in their London studio, you will take ownership of large-scale industrial and big-box schemes, leading projects from inception through to completion. This is a senior, client-facing role with responsibility for project performance, team leadership, and contributing to the wider business.
This role would suit an ambitious Associate-level Architect looking to step into a leadership position, taking ownership of a key client account, spearheading a team, and playing a central role in its growth and development.
You will act as the key point of contact for clients, manage multidisciplinary teams, and ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high technical standard.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead industrial and large-format retail projects across all RIBA stages
• Act as primary client contact and build long-term relationships
• Manage project delivery including programme, fees, and profitability
• Coordinate consultant and sub-consultant teams
• Oversee Revit-led technical delivery and documentation
• Mentor and manage team members within the studio
• Support business development and help secure new work
• Contribute to studio operations, planning, and resourcing

You will be an experienced Architect operating at Associate or Associate Director level, with a strong track record in large-scale project delivery.
You will bring:
• Experience delivering large-scale retail projects is preferred; however, experience in warehouse, logistics, or data centre projects will also be considered
• Strong client-facing and project leadership experience
• Solid technical knowledge is essential, with a strong focus on delivery and coordination
• High proficiency in Revit and digital workflows
• Experience managing teams and mentoring staff
• Strong organisational and commercial awareness
• Confident working in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment
Benefits
• 29 days annual leave (including Christmas shutdown allocation)

• Life assurance (up to 4x salary at senior level)
• Opportunity to play a key role in shaping projects and teams
• Strong progression within a growing and successful studio
