We are recruiting for an integrated Security Supervisor with the main responsibility to provide an ISS interface with all building users whilst delivering exceptional levels of customer service.
As Supervisor, you will be the primary point of contact for the Front of House team members, the client and internal ISS colleagues.
You will be expected to monitor staff performance, perform line management duties and oversee a diverse number of responsibilities ranging from scheduling support, booking of overtime requirements, managing holiday requests and assisting with general queries such as pay issues.
The role will require demonstrable capabilities of customer engagement to ensure a great workplace experience for all. This post will provide support to the Regional Operations Manager for the management of all onsite issues and instances. The role will require all applicants to hold a valid SIA License.
The Role
Operational Requirements Security Supervisor:
1. Taking a lead role in managing incidents and emergencies.
2. Following the correct reporting and escalation protocol.
3. Provide a professional and welcoming service, to meet and greet staff and visitors, being visible and encouraging with any assistance required.
4. To carry out spot checks and ensuring officers are completing site duties and patrols.
5. Adheres to the procedures ensuring that all contractors have a valid Work Permit to Work or have been correctly authorised in writing when this procedure is not in place.
6. To deal with access requests and issue access cards where appropriate.
7. Equipment and assess checks at the point of handover
8. Ensure all paperwork is completed to the highest standards and on time
9. To play an integral role in any emergency including evacuation, dealing with unsocial behavior, first aid incidents (or assistance to trained first aiders).
10. To investigate all matters of concern and report accordingly.
11. To contribute toward the maintenance of a clean, welcoming environment for all– for example, by picking up/reporting litter, reporting or dealing with spillages, etc.
12. Any other ad hoc tasks as required
Concierge:
13. Provide a quality meet and greet experience by engaging positively with each and every building user.
14. Placemakers should stand to greet every person who approaches them at the reception desk.
15. The use of positive, welcoming language “good morning/ afternoon, welcome to (building name)… and smiling is expected.
16. Proactively provide building specific assistance to all visitors such as locations of welfare facilities, food/drink services or rest areas.Proactively approach users as they leave the building to offer assistance in recovering passes or opening doors.
Security:
17. Provide a high level of security for the protection of people, property and premises by being a reassuring presence and a visual deterrent to those that could negatively affect the building and its users.
18. Operate a reception desk managing visitors /contractors, colleagues and client’s staff.
19. Regular patrolling of the office environment including external areas and areas of significance such as server rooms.
20. Control of keys, key issuance and key audits
21. Performing of unlock and lock up patrolling and alarm setting and unsetting.
22. Ability to respond to incidents and accidents and compile related reports
23. Perform a key role in emergencies such as fire alarm response, building evacuation and alarm testing audits
24. Check security passes and building users right to access.
25. Manage ISS contractor security, including H&S documentation
26. Provide a mail room service handling incoming mail and managing outgoing mail.
27. Any other reasonable requests related to the site or Facilities Management
Customer Service:

30. Read the customers signals; know the customer and understand when to engage

49. Current, valid SIA Licence in Security Guarding, Door Supervision or Close Protection.
50. Current DBS certificate
51. Valid First Aid at Work Certificate (desirable but will be provided if not already held).
