We are seeking a compassionate and proactive professional to join our Housing Options Team as an Inclusion Tenancy Sustainment Officer. This vital role supports vulnerable tenants in maintaining their tenancies by addressing socio-economic and health challenges that may either put their existing housing at risk or be a barrier to securing stable housing. Key Responsibilities Improve affordability for households by uplifting and enhancing their financial situation. Support the Tenancy Sustainment Team to promote smoking cessation through various Public Health initiatives. Develop and implement tailored support plans to promote tenancy sustainment. Provide practical advice on budgeting, signposting to debt management, and accessing financial support through grants and charities. Promote digital and financial inclusion through training and referrals. Support tenants in accessing health services, mental health support, and community resources to improve their wellbeing as a step back into work. Work to improve access to work, employment, volunteering or training as a steppingstone into work and provide advice and guidance around job seeking, working with partners, DWP, charities and employers. Monitor progress and maintain accurate case records using our housing management system Essential Criteria Experience of supporting individuals with complex needs in a housing or social care setting. Strong understanding of welfare benefits, financial inclusion, and tenancy law. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently but also alongside colleagues to promote workforce resilience and development. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. Further Information Flexible hybrid working arrangements with access to several satellite offices across the Dorset Council area Ongoing training and professional development.
