Job Title: Data Warehouse Manager
Location: Dudley, West Midlands - Hybrid Working
Job Type: Full time, Permanent
Salary: £70k - £90K Base per annum (Depending on experience) Plus Standard Company Benefits
Our leading Midlands-based manufacturing client is seeking a hands-on, technical Data Warehouse Lead/Manager to oversee the design, development, and maintenance of their data hub as part of their corporate data warehouse solutions. This role involves both design and development of the data platform and hands-on work—60% development and 40% team leadership, including work allocation and pastoral care. The Data Warehouse Manager will lead a team in the US and work with a BI Analyst.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, build, test, and document ETL/ELT solutions.
2. Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation, including lineage, for all production solutions.
3. Monitor and optimize the performance of data warehouse systems.
4. Manage data models, schemas, and metadata repositories.
5. Maintain operational data warehouse builds and resolve issues promptly.
6. Ensure adherence to standards and controls for data marts and operational data stores.
7. Lead the release and deployment of new solutions to enhance functionality and productivity.
Requirements:
1. Experience designing, writing, debugging, and testing advanced SQL code, stored procedures, and database schemas for Microsoft SQL Server and ideally Oracle.
2. Knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling, insights creation, data science, cloud solutions, and data management.
3. ETL development and orchestration experience using Azure Data Factory and preferably Informatica.
4. Experience with both Cloud (Azure) and on-premises data platform configurations.
5. Experience working within an end-to-end BI lifecycle.
6. Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric suite of tools is preferred.
7. Experience working with ERP systems in the manufacturing industry.
Our client prefers candidates located in the Midlands who can come into the office a couple of days a week.
