Protocol Education is working alongside a specialist SEND provision in Havering to appoint a Complex Needs Education Support Officer on a full-time basis. This school caters for pupils with MLD, SLD, ASD and PMLD, and is looking for individuals who are patient, compassionate and committed to helping children with additional needs succeed. You may come from a background in healthcare, social care, residential care, support work — or have personal experience supporting someone with SEND. In this role, you’ll support students throughout the school day, assisting with learning activities, encouraging independence and, where required, supporting with personal care. Previous school experience is helpful but not essential; attitude and dedication are key. Position Details: Full-time, 5 days per week 8:30am – 3:30pm Long-term and permanent roles available Based in Havering We’re looking for someone who: Builds positive and trusting relationships Brings a calm, adaptable and proactive approach Is confident supporting pupils with complex needs Works well within a team Qualifications such as Manual Handling, Hoist training, First Aid or Care certificates are advantageous but not required.
