Overview
Practice Plus Group is seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse or Clinical Practitioner to join our Out of Hours (OOH) team in Warwickshire. The role involves delivering urgent patient care outside regular GP hours across multiple sites.
Working Hours
Open 18:30–08:00 Monday to Friday and 24 hours over weekends. Flexible shift patterns available.
Locations
Warwickshire sites: Nuneaton, Coventry, Rugby, Warwick, Stratford‑upon‑Avon, Shipston‑on‑Stour.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment for patients presenting with urgent healthcare needs.
- Conduct face‑to‑face consultations from the clinical base in a fully equipped environment.
- Undertake home visits for assessment or treatment in patients’ homes.
- Assist with telephone triage for lower‑level consultations.
- Manage telephone triage, providing expert clinical advice, risk assessment and directing patients to appropriate care pathways.
- Work autonomously while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless, patient‑centred care.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to Practice Plus Group policies and NHS guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience
- Registered Nurse or Paramedic with MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent.
- Holder of V300 / Non-Medical Prescribing qualification with at least 6 months of post‑qualification experience.
- Experience within Out of Hours, Primary Care GP Surgery or Urgent Treatment Centre.
- Ability to see and treat patients of all ages autonomously.
- Excellent clinical decision‑making, assessment, and communication skills.
- Flexible, self‑motivated, and committed to ongoing professional development.
Compensation
£42–£62 per hour, depending on shift.
