Job Summary
We are seeking a multi-skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality finishes. You will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The ideal candidates will also possess a diverse range of technical skills and be confident performing various maintenance related tasks. This role requires a someone with good all-round building/maintenance experience, the ability to maintain equipment, and excellent customer service skills
Duties
* Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
* Complete repairs and maintenance across various trade disciplines where competent at our customer sites in and around Yorkshire as and when required.
* Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
* Ensure that all work areas are kept clean and organised throughout the painting process.
* Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding project requirements and timelines.
* Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
* Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
* Drive to various job sites as required.
* You MUST be qualified to City & Guilds NVQ or equivalent (Level II) in one or more of relevant trades.
* Ideally you will hold a valid CSCS card and if not be prepared to undertake.
Skills
* Proven experience in construction painting is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* A valid driving licence for transporting materials is required.
* Attention to detail with a focus on delivering quality workmanship.
