About the role
The Haematopoietic Stem Cell Lab works on the regulation of human normal haematopoietic stem cell biology and leukemia and the role of the extracellular factors providing by the niche.
We are looking for a productive and motivated Postdoctoral Fellow with a desire to work in a congenial, dynamic and collaborative research team. You will be part of the team of researchers working in the Haematopoietic Stem Cell laboratory under the direction of Prof Dominique Bonnet.
The group is interested in studying normal human Haematopoietic Stem Cells (HSCs) and Leukaemic Stem Cells (LSCs). At present we are investigating the relationship between normal HSCs, LSCs and their microenvironment. We are also interested in understanding how pre-leukaemic mutations provide a clonal advantage overtime, what are the external factors involved in this selection and how to potential revert it.
As a Postdoctoral fellow in the HSC team, you will be responsible for leading an independent research project within the lab, playing a key role in driving the overall direction of the project under the supervision of Prof D Bonnet.

What you will be doing
As a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Crick, you will:
* Design and perform experiments, and analysis data, with the strongest possible research integrity.
* Keep up with relevant scientific literature to identify key challenges in the field.
* Reporting, presenting and discussing results with people in the group during lab meeting
* Presenting and reporting results with D Bonnet in a regular basis.
* Preparing /drafting your own research paper or writing reviews
* Collaborate with others in the lab and/or institute and with the scientific facilities in the institute where appropriate.
* Collaborate with external researchers if /when the project requires it.
About you
You will have:
* PhD on stem cell and/or cancer biology,
* Experience FACS analysis/sorting
* Experience in molecular biology
* Experience in modulating gene expression via lentivirus and/or Crisp-Cas9 editing,
* Experience on haematopoietic field
* Proven track record of research (e.g: publication record)
