Overview
Candidates will be based at New Cross Hospital, WV10 0QP. They will need to be able to travel to other sites within the pathology network: Russells Hall Hospital DY1 2HQ, Manor Hospital WS2 9PS, Midland Metropolitan University Hospital B66 2QT, Sandwell Health Campus B71 4HJ and City Health Campus B18 7QH.
Responsibilities
* Undertake audits across Black Country Pathology Services to help maintain services accreditation by UKAS to ISO15189 and compliance with MHRA and HTA.
* Help monitor the quality management system.
* Provide clerical support in connection with clinical incidents and other general office duties.
* Demonstrate accuracy and have excellent communication skills.
* Assist the Quality team to monitor compliance to the Quality Management System (QMS) within the Black Country Pathology Service to ISO15189 standards required for accreditation, MHRA, HTA and other regulations/standards.
* Assist and support BCPS management teams to provide a seamless quality of service, including duties associated with risk management and maintenance of the quality management system.
* Undertake quality assurance audits across the BCPS network, covering services at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust, Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust and Sandwell & West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust.
* Communicate with external governance departments of BCPS Owner Trusts on behalf of BCPS to communicate information.
* Work within standard operating procedures and Trust policies.
* Concentration and attention to detail required for auditing, data transcription, editing and extraction.
* Respond positively to the changing demands of the service and provide a helpful and professional service to all visitors and telephone callers.
