EG217773 - Consultant Paediatrician with interest in Cardiology
NHS Scotland is recruiting for a Consultant Paediatrician with interest in Cardiology based at Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital (RACH), Grampian. The role is permanent, 40 hours per week (part time and job share considered). The successful applicant will contribute to the Consultant out-of-hours rota for Medical Paediatrics and will be Consultant of the week on a pro rata basis.

Location and context
Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital provides specialist inpatient and outpatient care in Medical Paediatrics and sub-specialities. NHS Grampian serves a population of over 500,000 across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to the Consultant out-of-hours rota for Medical Paediatrics
* Be Consultant of the week on a pro rata basis
* Provide general paediatric care with expertise in Cardiology within a tertiary paediatric service
Qualifications and eligibility
* UK-trained applicants should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry on the GMC Specialist Register from date of interview
* Alternatively, CESR / CESR (CP) holders are eligible
* Locum Consultant posts (up to 12 months) may be considered for eligible applicants not listed on the GMC Specialist Register
* Full GMC registration with licence to practise is required (licence in place prior to starting)
