Working at LHP means no two days are the same. You'll be part of a solid team that's got your back-whether you're tackling tricky jobs or celebrating a job well done.
A typical week could like:
* Start the week right by checking and topping up your van stock-tiles, sealants, flashings, and all the gear you'll need to avoid unnecessary trips to suppliers.
* Get stuck into roofing jobs-everything from replacing broken slates and tiles to repairing ridge and hip lines, fixing chimney flashings, and sealing low-level flat roofs with fibreglass or bitumen.
* Attend scheduled appointments in tenants' homes, diagnosing roofing issues and carrying out repairs-could be anything from a leaky roof to blocked gutters or loose fascia boards. You'll often work alongside other trades to get the job done in one visit.
* Keep it clean and safe-you'll use scaffolding, correct PPE, dustsheets and overshoes to protect the property and show respect to the customer.
* Stay in touch-update planners and team leaders using our housing system, keeping records accurate and customers informed.
* Think on your feet-carry out risk assessments on-site and flag anything unsafe straight away.
* Keep an eye out-report anything unusual, like signs of damp, mould, tenancy fraud, or safeguarding concerns.
* Pitch in across the estate-you might help with brickwork, plastering, or even minor plumbing if needed. Your multi-trade skills make you a key part of the team.
* Work on empty properties-doing improvement works like roof repairs, gutter cleans, or general maintenance to get them ready for new tenants.
