As Legal Counsel, you’ll play a key role in providing strategic, business-focused legal support across a dynamic and fast-paced organization. You’ll work closely with commercial and sales teams while partnering with colleagues across a global legal function.
This role offers strong visibility, cross-functional collaboration, and the potential to broaden scope into additional areas of the business over time.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial and licensing agreements across North and South AmericaPartner with sales and business teams to support global licensing workflowsProvide legal guidance on commercial contracts, intellectual property, data privacy, and compliance mattersAct as a trusted legal advisor, delivering pragmatic and commercially sound adviceSupport litigation matters, including disputes, investigations, subpoenas, and discovery processesCollaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel on legal strategy and case managementMonitor legal matters, budgets, and deadlines, and report updates to senior leadershipContribute to legal team strategy, training, and knowledge-sharing initiativesâś… Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolActive membership in the New York State Barcorporate/commercial law (law firm or in-house)Strong commercial judgment and ability to influence decision-makingExcellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills and collaborative mindsetđź’ˇ Nice to Have
