PCEP Police Constable Entry Programme
Starting salary of £31,164, with yearly increments on the anniversary of your start date.
Programme Overview
The PCEP is a 2‑year work‑based scheme. You will be employed as an officer from day one, receiving a solid foundation of policing and support from an in‑house training team. The programme equips you with policing skills to begin your journey as a Police officer and will be your entry route toward a Police Constable position.
Responsibilities
As a Police Constable you will support the safety and wellbeing of communities in Warwickshire, assisting with policing duties, community engagement, and ensuring public safety.
Eligibility & Qualifications
* Full UK driver’s licence required.
* Two A Levels or an equivalent Level 3 or higher qualification as defined by the Education and Skills Act 2008.
* An academic or vocational qualification gained outside England and Wales that is considered equivalent to a Level 3 qualification by the UK National Recognition Information Centre.
* Be currently serving as a PCSO, having completed your PCSO probationary period and all mandatory training, or be up to date with required training.
* Be currently serving as a Special Constable with independent patrol status and consistently completing sixteen hours per month, up to date with all mandatory training.
* Have served with the Armed Forces for the appropriate minimum term and hold an exemplary reference.
* Be a member of the emergency services or have other relevant public‑facing experience – for example, paramedics, emergency control room staff or probation officers. Applications will be considered on a case‑by‑case basis.
Residency and Nationality
* UK resident for the last three years.
* British, Irish or EEA National, or have no restrictions on the right to live and work in the UK.
