We are looking for 2 exceptional individual to join us in Starlight Unit as a Paediatric Healthcare Support Worker.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be an integral part of the nursing team actively taking part in meeting the needs of patients and of the service in accordance with agreed standards under direct supervision of the registered nurse. The post holder will develop essential competencies though training and practice to ensure safety and quality are the priority.
The postholder will take responsibility for, prioritise and manage own workload to support the clinical team and promote and maintain a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment for patients and their families.

Skills/Abilities
Essential criteria
1. Good verbal and written command of English language
2. Be able to assist with the direct delivery of care with patients
3. Ability to use hoists and engage in other physical activity related to patient care e.g. bathing, feeding.
Education
Essential criteria
4. Must have, or be willing to work towards GCSE level Maths and English
Experience
Essential criteria
5. Evidence of experience of communicating with babies, children and young people either in a work or voluntary environment.
Desirable criteria
6. Experience of working in a customer orientated role
