Job Title: Business Support Officer
We are seeking a creative and dynamic Business Support Officer to join the office of the West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner. Our vision is: "Working with partners and the public to deliver safer, stronger communities in West Mercia".
The core role of the PCC’s office is to ensure the voice of the public is reflected in policing. The PCC allocates funding to community projects, victim services, and crime prevention measures, ensuring the police force has the resources needed to serve the public effectively.
We need someone passionate about amplifying the public voice to improve policing. The ideal candidate will be creative, possess strong written skills, be able to identify risks and opportunities, and have innovative ideas to enhance community engagement.
If successful, you will be responsible for:
1. Developing and delivering communications across various platforms to support the PCC and estate;
2. Producing and executing campaigns;
3. Creating videos and podcasts;
4. Providing advice and support to the PCC;
5. Carrying out public engagements.
You will also be encouraged to work independently and help shape the focus of your role.
Role Details:
* The Business Support Officer position is hybrid, requiring a minimum of 3 days in the office.
