The role:
Gower College Swansea is seeking a Tutor/Assessor to join the Carpentry provision within our expanding Built Environment Learning Area.
1. Full-time (37 hours per week)
2. Permanent
3. £31, - £34, per annum
4. Jubilee Court & Tycoch campus
Key Responsibilities:
5. Assess and internally verify portfolios to ensure they meet the requirements of the various external verifiers and awarding bodies
6. Work with customers in industry to maintain and build relationships
7. Provide a high quality teaching and learning experience for all learners
About you:
8. Have up to date knowledge of the industry with a Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Carpentry or a related subject
9. Possess a recognised apprenticeship in carpentry
10. Ideally hold, or be working towards, a recognised teaching qualification and TAQA/V1 award
11. Have excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work flexibly, on your own initiative and as part of a team
