Transport Administrator To provide the primary point of contact for all transport issues arising and carry out administrative duties in order to help the depot meets its administrative responsibilities and provide a professional customer service. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Support the Planning Team
Work proactively on planning, to avoid any delays on the delivery
Working within a team of nationwide planners, to achieve the common goal of effectively servicing our current client base
Liaising with drivers, service providers and the management team to solve issues such as break downs.
Liaise with the existing planners and management to understand the Planning Support function and also Transport Administration.
Liaise with sub-contractors, site managers, customers and end users
The Person:
Ideally experience using a TMS software
This role will require a professional individual who is highly organized, customer focused, with great attention to detail.
Strong administration skills and ideally someone who is interested in or has knowledge of the transport, logistics industry.
Knowledge of the local /UK areas would be beneficial although not essential.
