Acute Medicine is an exciting and essential pillar of urgent care at UHBW. We have ambitious plans to grow the service at the BRI. Key milestones aim to include the expansion and development of our Acute Medical Unit, Same Day Emergency Care Unit and optimising clinical pathways. What's in it for you? Main duties and team

Our service is comprised of a 39 bedded Acute Medical Unit, Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) unit and the management of the Medical Take. Acute Medicine is within the Division of Medicine, working closely with colleagues in the Emergency Department, Care of the Elderly, Respiratory Medicine, Diabetes and Endocrinology, Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Our Trust includes leading tertiary specialist services including the Bristol Heart Institute, St Michaels Maternity Hospital, Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre. We actively encourage our consultants to explore opportunities for cross-specialty collaboration.
