Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess extensive culinary experience and a strong background in food production and preparation. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food safety, quality, and presentation while fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and effective teamwork.
* Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
* Develop and design menus that reflect current trends while meeting customer preferences.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high hygiene standards within the kitchen.
* Recruit and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food preparation, and safety protocols.
* Monitor inventory levels, and assist restaurant manager in placing orders for supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery to guests.
* Maintain a positive working environment that encourages creativity and teamwork among staff.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
* Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen equipment.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development is essential.
* Previous experience in supervising kitchen operations is highly desirable.
Work Times
Sunday to Saturday : 8 am till 2pm ( Tuesdays holiday)
Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: £25,000.00-£34,459.93 per year
