Job Overview This role is to cover a seasonal requirement to deliver and demonstrate F & G equipment to customers during the season. In order to justify full time employment there is a further requirement for flexibility to carry out other tasks including advising and demonstrating Forest and Groundcare and any other equipment to customers; pre-delivery inspections; building machinery; holiday cover. To assist in the provision of a sales and support service in support of the Company’s sales of goods and services. Key Responsibilities Provide customer support and advice on products and services within the company Excellent Customer Service Communicate effectively with customers Connect with the customer by being friendly, helpful and knowledgeable Be available to deliver great service Resolve customer queries and complaints in a timely and appropriate manner Use of our systems to process customer payments and orders Provide and follow up on quotes for customers Deliver a variety of items to different locations and through different routes Demonstrate and provide advice regarding machinery/equipment delivered paying particular attention to safe operations. Build machines ready for sale and carry out PDIs (Pre Delivery Inspections) Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle Complete logs and reports Follow DOT regulations and safety standards Ensure any Company vehicle allocated is fit for purpose Deal with customers' queries and ensure these are passed to the relevant person for completion Receipting of goods in from suppliers on SXE and correctly storing within F&G warehouse. Report any faulty or damaged goods immediately to manager Carry out new machine handovers to customers at their premises when required Demonstrate new products for potential sales to customers Assist sales staff on shop floor when required Monitor stock levels within F&G warehouse and help department prepare and carry out any stock take duties Prepare machines and paperwork for transferring of goods to any branch within the company, ensuring correct product is transferred. Keep F&G warehouse in a tidy and organised manner. Assist with receipting of customers machinery for servicing Provide holiday cover within the branch Comply with MIS Policies and Procedures and adhere to the requirements for a solid paperwork trail The Company has a health and safety policy, which outlines its responsibilities as an employer, and the responsibilities of its employees in respect of health and safety. Carrying out any other duties which are appropriate to the post as may be reasonably requested by line manager Working Relationship Ability to work within and contribute to a team Internally: Daily contact in person, with other team members and work colleagues within the business Externally: Daily contact with customers during sales and deliveries Key Results area Right goods for delivery to the right place at the right time Receipt of goods into warehouse and locating correct Required Skills & Experience Good Knowledge of Forestry and Groundcare products and equipment Excellent numeric and literacy skills to enable completion of paperwork Good people/customer service skills when dealing with customers and colleagues Basic knowledge of relevant systems, equipment and processes. Understands the importance of data accuracy within a warehouse context The ability to work with minimal supervision, and make decisions relevant to the successful outcome and conclusion of the processes. Ability to respond positively to new challenges and change Key Requirements Full UK driving licence – preferably clean Licence to drive 7.5 tonnes vehicles with DCPC would be an advantage Fork lift operator
