As part of our Advanced Engineering team, you'll be at the forefront of pre-development, contributing to some of the most exciting projects in the luxury performance automotive world. In this role, you'll work closely with a small, collaborative team of Vehicle Dynamics and Chassis Simulation Engineers. Together, you'll lead simulation activities that support vehicle development gateways and digital verification plans. You'll play a key role in translating attribute targets into engineering specifications, providing data-driven insights that influence critical design decisions.
From investigating chassis and dynamics challenges, to developing and refining advanced simulation processes, you’ll help us enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and value of our virtual development tools. You’ll be hands-on with multibody simulation software and contribute to continuous improvement across a wide range of vehicle performance areas, including handling, durability, NVH, and powertrain integration. You’ll also work alongside controls engineers and software suppliers to help shape the algorithms behind our cutting-edge driving systems.
This is a varied and fast-paced role with a clear impact: the performance data you generate and interpret will directly inform how we engineer our vehicles. What You’ll Bring
Essential:
1. MSc (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics or a closely related field
2. Initial experience in multibody simulation tools used for vehicle dynamics (e.g., ADAMS/Car, VI-CarRealTime, Simpack, Dymola)
3. Understanding of suspension systems, kinematics and compliance, and their impact on full vehicle attributes
4. Basic knowledge of tyre dynamic behaviours and how they influence performance
5. Exposure to virtual development processes and vehicle attribute simulation
6. Experience using MATLAB/Simulink for modelling and data processing
7. Proven ability in post-processing, analysis, and optimisation techniques
Desirable:
8. Experience with tyre modelling for handling and ride comfort analysis
9. Exposure to performance analysis of ICE, hybrid, or electric powertrains
10. Familiarity with ADAMS/Car and VI-CarRealTime
11. Development of analysis tools in MATLAB or Python
12. PhD in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline
