We’re looking for Secondary Teaching Assistants who can drive and are happy to travel between different RCT secondary schools depending on daily demand.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, likes working in fast‑paced environments, and wants to support KS3–KS4 learners—especially those with SEN, ALN and behaviour needs—without the heavy workload that comes with planning or admin.
You will have the chance to work across a network of supportive RCT secondary schools, gaining broad experience and making a meaningful impact on young people’s confidence, learning and behaviour.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support KS3–KS4 learners in class
Provide 1:1, small-group or whole-class support
Assist pupils with SEN/ALN (Autism, ADHD, SEMH etc.)
Reinforce behaviour routines and positive habits
Help students stay engaged and understand lesson content
Build motivation, independence and confidence
Contribute to a calm and structured learning environment
We’re Looking For Someone Who Is:
A driver with access to a car (essential)
Comfortable travelling to different secondary schools across RCT
Confident working in KS3–KS4 only
Patient, proactive and adaptable
Comfortable supporting behaviour and SEN
Reliable and able to stay calm in busy classrooms
A good communicator with a positive presence
Open to long-term or flexible placements
Welsh-speaking (helpful, not essential)
Requirements

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
