About the Role
As an Art and Design Teacher, you will deliver engaging and imaginative lessons that stimulate curiosity and artistic expression. You will guide pupils in developing their practical and theoretical skills while creating a positive and supportive classroom environment. Your role will be vital in helping students discover their talents and achieve academic success in Art and Design.
Main Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Art and Design across key stages.
* Inspire students to explore creativity through a variety of artistic media and techniques.
* Encourage independent thinking, expression, and problem-solving skills.
* Prepare resources and maintain a safe, engaging classroom environment.
* Monitor, assess, and provide constructive feedback on student progress.
* Contribute to the development of the Art and Design curriculum and extracurricular activities.
* Support school-wide events, projects, and exhibitions showcasing student work.
* Ensure high standards of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Specialism in Art and Design with a passion for teaching.
* Strong communication and classroom management skills.
* Ability to inspire and motivate learners of all abilities.
* Creativity and adaptability in lesson planning and delivery.
* A commitment to professional growth and development.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
