Daikin Applied is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Manager who will directs and coordinate activities of the Engineering Department to design, manufacture, and test components, products, and systems by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Location: Hybrid, Plymouth, MN
What you will do:
* Direct department activities to drive the development of standard, develop design best practices, work with other leaders to develop design reviews and deliverables, improve design method and techniques. Driving the governance and over site to ensure consistent CTQs metrics
* Resolve problems using solutions that involve new techniques, technologies, or concepts
* Analyze current and future business needs and develop or identify technologies to support these current and future needs
* Direct the development of best practice methods and work with tech writers to develop training material
* Confer with management, production, and marketing to understand the strategy of the business and to develop a strategy to support the design organization
* Forecast operating costs of department and directs preparation of budget requests.
* Advise management of new developments which may affect profit, schedule, costs, customer relations, and/or inter-departmental relations
* Provide direction and example for interpretation and application of company policies and procedures to the engineering activities
* Maintain a working knowledge of new technologies which may improve operations, and develops recommendations and implementation plan accordingly
* Maintain a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner

Minimum Qualifications:
* BS of Engineering degree
* 6 to 8 years of related experience, including 4+ years people leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications:
* BS of Mechanical Engineering

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $117,300 / yr - $150,300 / yr plus a 15% bonus in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
