Sponsorship Compliance Administrator (Skilled Worker Visa)
Hybrid role with some national travel.
Job Summary
The Sponsorship Compliance Administrator is responsible for supporting the organisation’s compliance with UK Skilled Worker visa sponsorship requirements and Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulatory standards. The role ensures that sponsored workers are managed in line with Home Office sponsor duties, employment legislation, and CQC expectations, helping to protect the organisation’s Sponsor Licence and regulatory standing.
Key Responsibilities
UK Visa Sponsorship Compliance
1. Support compliance with Home Office Skilled Worker sponsor duties
2. Assist in the administration of Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS), including assignments, extensions, and changes
3. Monitor sponsored workers’ visa status, right to work, working hours, and role alignment
4. Track visa expiry dates, contract end dates, and reporting deadlines
5. Report relevant changes via the Sponsor Management System (SMS) in line with Home Office timescales
Record Keeping & Documentation
6. Maintain accurate and auditable sponsorship records, including: Right to Work checks Passport and visa documentation Contracts of employment and job descriptions Absence and change tracking
7. Ensure sponsorship files meet Home Office audit standards
8. Maintain confidentiality and GDPR compliance at all times
CQC & Regulatory Compliance
9. Support compliance with CQC regulations related to staffing, recruitment, and fitness of workers
10. Ensure sponsored staff meet role requirements, qualifications, and training standards
11. Support CQC inspections by providing evidence relating to sponsored workers
12. Work closely with HR and operational teams to ensure workforce compliance
Monitoring & Reporting
13. Monitor attendance, absences, and role changes for sponsored employees
14. Escalate potential breaches of sponsor or CQC requirements
15. Prepare internal compliance reports for senior management
16. Assist with Home Office compliance visits and audits
Stakeholder Support
17. Act as a point of contact for sponsored workers on visa-related queries
18. Provide guidance to managers on sponsorship and compliance obligations
19. Liaise with external advisors, the Home Office, and regulatory bodies as required
Policy & Process Improvement
20. Support the development and review of sponsorship and recruitment policies
21. Stay up to date with changes to UK immigration rules and CQC guidance
22. Recommend improvements to strengthen sponsorship and regulatory compliance
Skills & Competencies
23. Strong understanding of UK Skilled Worker sponsorship requirements
24. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
25. Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
26. Strong written and verbal communication skills
27. Ability to work to strict deadlines and regulatory standards
28. Confident using HR systems and the Sponsor Management System (SMS)
Essential Requirements
29. Experience in UK visa sponsorship administration or compliance
30. Knowledge of Home Office sponsor duties and Skilled Worker routes
31. Experience working in a regulated environment (health or social care preferred)
32. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and HR systems
Desirable Requirements
33. Experience working within a CQC-regulated organisation
34. Experience supporting Home Office audits or compliance visits
35. Knowledge of right to work legislation and employment law
36. CIPD qualification or immigration compliance training
