My Hertfordshire-based client is a privately owned SME with over twenty years of experience in providing commercial cleaning and soft FM services. They operate across various sites including offices, residential, commercial communal areas, clinical spaces, retail spaces, theatres, museums, and galleries.
I am recruiting a full-time Mobile Support Supervisor/Manager (40 hours, flexible based on site requirements). The role combines hands-on mobile support with operational management, involving deep cleaning support primarily in London, with some travel across the UK and potential overnight stays for specialized tasks. The role also entails managing several sites with support from the Head of Operations.
Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in deep cleaning (carpets, hard floors, windows, cleaning machines) and some supervisory or management experience in the cleaning industry. Candidates should reside in Central or South London/Kent (near M25), be adaptable, and able to work flexible hours, including out of hours if necessary. This position offers a great opportunity for those seeking progression within a smaller company, with potential for future advancement to a full-time managerial role.
Supervisor/Manager duties
* Provide operational management support across client sites
* Conduct site audits with staff and clients via the Cleanlink system, resolving issues promptly
* Manage staff timesheets and holidays using a time management system
* Perform out-of-hours spot checks on sites
* Ensure health & safety procedures are followed and promote safe working practices
* Recruit new staff using the Cleanlink system
* Train and support cleaning operatives
* Implement discipline procedures as needed
* Organize, schedule, delegate tasks to mobile support staff and site operatives
* Respond to client complaints and resolve issues promptly
* Manage stock, equipment, and cleaning supplies via company app
* Set up, induct, train new staff, and mobilize new sites
Mobile Support Cleaner duties
* Provide operational support across sites
* Cover staff absences for holiday or sick leave
* Perform deep cleaning tasks, including carpet, hard floor, oven, window cleaning, jet washing in bin stores, etc.
* Record tasks performed in the Cleanlink system
* Report faulty equipment, damage, vandalism, or hazards
* Maintain company vehicle and report any issues
* Follow health & safety procedures and promote safe practices
* Liaise with managers to meet client KPIs

Salary: GBP31,595.20 per annum (GBP15.19/hour), with potential overtime and annual performance bonus. Company vehicle, laptop, mobile phone, and iPad are provided.
