Head of Design – Fluidstack

About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced brand designer to help spearhead the development of our creative identity. You will be responsible for visually telling a fast-evolving company narrative with ample greenfield to break conventions and push creative boundaries. The successful candidate will be part of a small but growing communications team, with the opportunity to work alongside our senior leadership in bringing ideas to life.
Responsibilities
* Under our Director of Strategic Communications, lead the development of a distinct, unique vision for brand design as part of a small team.
* Define, articulate, and update the master brand across events, website, and digital media.
* Develop distinct product identities for different offerings and lead the development of compelling subbrand identities.
* Collaborate with senior and communications stakeholders to complement and enhance an evolving verbal identity and wider brand narrative.
About You
* 10+ years of design experience, ideally in an agency or in-house brand team, with experience in the AI/software/technology space.
* Experience evolving a visual identity as part of an organization's communications team and working with senior stakeholders on enterprise goals and visual grammar.
* A portfolio demonstrating a wide scope across mediums and the ability to apply design direction across many projects.
* Experience creating physical and digital design assets for events of all sizes (conferences, expos, internal events).
* Understanding of website design and the ability to communicate design strategies to web developers and other stakeholders.
* Excellent organizational skills and a willingness to make design assets accessible to teams across the organization.
* Interest in designing for social media and producing assets that stand out on different digital platforms.
* Willingness to push boundaries in a very uniform field to help differentiate the business and brand.
* Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, etc.) and Figma.
Nice to have
* Understanding of motion and animation design and willingness to collaborate with specialists in these fields.
* Experience leading creative direction for film shoots and motion projects.
* Basic interest in photography and/or photo editing for social media platforms.
