We’re looking for a friendly, confident and customer-focused Front of House Officer to welcome visitors to Killhope and help deliver an exceptional experience across this unique rural industrial heritage site. WHAT IS INVOLVED? This varied role involves working both outdoors and in the atmospheric underground historic mine, you will be greeting visitors, supporting school groups and learning activities, sharing the site’s lead-mining history, and helping ensure every visit is safe, engaging and memorable. You will assist with tours, events, building and safety checks, ticketing, retail, café, enquiries and exhibition invigilation, while working closely with colleagues, volunteers and visiting groups to maintain excellent customer service. Front of House Officer roles are all on a 2 week rota for 30 weeks of the year, this includes when we are open to the public and time for set up/close down pre and post season. You will hold a NVQ Level 2, or equivalent, in a relevant area Please refer to the attached Person Specification for the full criteria. INTERVIEWS It is expected interviews will be held week commencing 6th April 2026.
