Part-Time Employment Counsel (Secondment) | Global FinTech | Sept Start

I’m currently working with a globally recognised, US-headquartered technology and payments business seeking a Part-Time Employment Counsel to join on a 7–8 month secondment from September.
This is a standout opportunity to embed within a highly sophisticated legal function supporting a truly international workforce across Europe.
The Role:
You’ll join a well-established European legal team responsible for employment matters across multiple jurisdictions, working closely with HR and business stakeholders in a fast-paced, multinational environment.
The role will focus on:
* Providing day-to-day advisory support on UK employment law, with some exposure to Ireland
* Supporting organisational design, talent strategy, and performance-related matters
* Advising on employee relations issues and complex workplace scenarios
* Assisting with the rollout and development of HR policies and best practices
* Monitoring legislative changes across Europe and ensuring compliance with global standards
* Supporting on employment aspects of corporate transactions and projects, including M&A
This is a highly commercial role requiring a pragmatic, solutions-driven approach and confidence working with senior stakeholders across jurisdictions.
Candidate Profile
* UK-qualified lawyer with strong employment law expertise
* Experience advising on Irish employment law is a strong advantage
* Background supporting US-headquartered multinationals or similarly complex global businesses
* Proven ability to operate in a cross-border, matrixed environment
* Strong communication skills with a commercial, pragmatic mindset
Logistics
* Start: Between 1–16 September 2026
* Duration: Through to end of April 2027
* Commitment: ~8–9 days per month (part-time)
* Working pattern: Hybrid, including at least 1 day per week in a London office
