We’re now looking for a passionate Cloud Engineering Professional to help us deliver innovative cloud solutions that keep UK Government data and systems safe. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of designing, implementing, and managing secure cloud projects—ensuring protection is embedded in every decision we make. You’ll work closely with talented colleagues across IT, development, and business teams, all united by a shared commitment to delivering secure, high-impact solutions for our customers.
What you'll be doing
* Supporting the automation of cloud infrastructure through infrastructure-as-code, self-service tooling, and DevOps deployment practices
* Assisting with the design and implementation of secure, scalable cloud solutions under guidance
* Collaborating with peers and suppliers to ensure high-quality, customer-focused outcomes
* Maintaining platform tools and components, monitoring performance, and resolving issues
* Contributing to integration work between systems and supporting the resolution of deployment and security issues
* Helping to shape best practice frameworks and improve ways of working across the team
The skills you'll need
You’ll bring strong experience in cloud engineering—particularly with AWS—and a proven ability to deploy secure, scalable solutions in hybrid environments. You’ll be confident working across the cloud ecosystem, automating processes and meeting compliance goals.
* Advanced knowledge of cloud computing and infrastructure
* Solid understanding of cloud security, networking, and infrastructure design
* Hands-on experience integrating cloud and SaaS solutions
* Industry-recognised certification or equivalent experience (AWS preferred)
* Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate clearly in a fast-paced environment
* Familiarity with network monitoring and ITSM tools
