The Team Leader role
* Assessing work / instructions received from Management
* Planning, organising, delegating work and managing resources to workload
* Liaising with Management to ensure the team has the necessary resources to achieve deadlines
* Monitoring progress of work
* Ensuring Safe Working Procedures are followed always by the team and maintaining high levels of health and safety
* Identifying training needs for both new and existing staff
* Providing feedback to the team
* Assuming responsibility for quality of work and rectifying snags
* Ensuring a clean and tidy work area is maintained
* To assemble electrical control panels/switchgear accurately and on time
* Understand and interpret electrical schematics in line with specification requirements for LV Switchgear and Control Systems
* Understanding the correct use of fixings for different aspects of the works
* Liaise with Production Manager regarding overtime cover and authorising holidays
* Holding Daily ‘Toolbox’ talks with team members
What you’ll need to join us as a Team Leader
* Ability to work under pressure, lead by example and work as a team or individually
* Apprentice or time-served in an electrical discipline would be highly desired, such as installations or panel wiring or an electrical qualification
* Able to understand drawings and predict possible assembly or quality issues
* Reliable and trustworthy with a meticulous and positive approach to work
* Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide range of people, contractors, customers and auditors
* Ability to work to and maintain deadlines with a results-driven approach
* Familiar with mechanical assembly of devices and copper busbar systems
* Competent with Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint & Word
* Experience in building and testing Switchgear would be an advantage
