Location: National role with a regular scheduled visit to our head office in Lancashire.
Hours: Full time, Monday–Friday (40 hours)
Salary: £45,000–£56,000 (dependent on experience) + 15% annual bonus

Role overview We are seeking a driven, customer-focused Hospitality Design & Commercial Kitchen Consultant to manage client relationships, lead front- and back-of-house design, and support early-stage project development through to installation. The role combines creative layout and specification with technical detailing, equipment schedules, M&E coordination and commercial awareness. It is client-facing (no cold calling, no sales targets) and includes site surveys, producing design proposals, preparing quotations, and supporting projects through handover.
Key responsibilities
* Act as primary design contact for clients and liaise with internal designers and project teams.
* Undertake site surveys, measured drawings and record M&E services.
* Produce concept layouts, workflow plans and detailed 2D technical drawings (AutoCAD essential; Revit/BIM desirable).
* Prepare equipment schedules, technical specifications and accurate quotations for catering equipment, refrigeration and bespoke joinery.
* Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers and fabrication suppliers.
* Support construction administration: respond to queries, attend site meetings, oversee installation standards and complete snagging/handover.
* Present design proposals, explain technical choices, influence outcomes with your sales skills and knowledge.
* Advise on merchandising/upselling opportunities and provide practical, commercial recommendations to maximise client outcomes.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, standards and team knowledge.
* Manage multiple enquiries, prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
Required skills & experience
* Minimum 3 years' experience in commercial kitchen design, foodservice consultancy, hospitality fit-out design or hospitality consultancy.
* Proficient in AutoCAD and competent producing 2D technical drawings; Revit/BIM experience is a strong advantage. Familiarity with SketchUp or similar visualisation tools preferred.
* Solid understanding of commercial kitchen operations, equipment, ventilation and refrigeration.
* Experience preparing equipment schedules, quotations and technical submissions.
* Strong client-facing, presentation and commercial skills; attention to detail.
* Knowledge of HACCP, building regulations, health & safety and relevant compliance standards.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally to sites.
* Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple client accounts and project timelines.
* Basic numeracy for measurements, budgeting and cost calculations.
Desirable
* Background in architecture, interior design, engineering or foodservice consultancy.
* Experience with large-scale or multi-site projects (hotels, stadia, leisure).
* Familiarity with fabrication/shop drawing workflows and supplier management.
* Experience in merchandising and upselling; multilingual ability (English/Spanish) advantageous.
* SketchUp or similar design skills / experience
