We are delighted to offer this fixed‑term Band 7 opportunity within our Children and Young People’s (CYP) Therapies service, which has become available due to internal promotion. This role is ideal for those looking to extend leadership skills while developing specialist clinical skills. We are recruiting a full‑time highly specialist Speech and Language Therapist for a 10‑month fixed term. The postholder will join our friendly team of therapists, assistants, and Education Leads and will be based in Hertford, covering Hertford, Waltham Cross, and Bishop Stortford.
Responsibilities
* Partner with other leads across the county to shape and develop the service.
* Collaborate with mainstream education settings, building relationships with clusters of schools within Hertfordshire DSPL areas and understanding their needs.
* Act as a point of contact for school clusters and provide leadership support to the therapy teams working within these clusters.
* Work with therapy teams and settings to provide training, specialist advice, and support.
* Seek regular feedback from schools and respond by adjusting service provision for the benefit of the wider Hertfordshire system.
* Set up and plan training packages relevant to schools and support others.
* Facilitate professional supervision groups and provide managerial supervision to less experienced colleagues.
