What you’ll be doing
as the Quantity Surveyor
1. Providing commercial advice on Capital Projects across our operational sites in the Thames Valley.
2. Managing projects from inception to completion.
3. Attending sites to carry out measurements and value work.
4. Carrying out tendering analysis and evaluations.
5. Variation assessment and negotiations.
6. Project final accounting.
7. Leading the dispute resolution process.
8. Providing advice on contractual claims.
9. Managing the assessment and certification of monthly Applications for Payments. (AFP)
Base Location – This is a hybrid role and base location can be flexible across our Thames Valley sites.
36 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
What you should bring to the role
To thrive in this role, the essential criteria you’ll need are:
10. Hold a full, valid UK driving licence and have your own transport.
11. Hold an HND or equivalent or higher in a quantity surveying or construction-related subject.
12. Be able to demonstrate experience in managing operational contracts. (either a large-scale, high-value contract or a portfolio of contracts)
13. A strong technical understanding of commercial and contract management.
14. Negotiation and dispute resolution experience.
15. Have exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
16. Ability to deliver information and influence internal & external stakeholders at all levels.
17. Strong MS Office skills, ability to work to deadlines and highly organised.
