MPA is currently recruiting for a Band 6 Radiographer on behalf of our client based in the Coleraine area. The position offers an immediate start and is based in a hospital setting. The successful candidate will assist in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging and personalized service.
Role Responsibilities
1. Undertake Radiographic and Imaging examinations as required.
2. Ensure Radiation Protection Rules are applied at all times, including compliance with Ionising Radiations Regulations (N.I.) 2000 and Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (N.I.) 2000, and observe departmental local rules and protocols concerning ionising radiation.
3. Participate in routine equipment inspections and quality assurance procedures, reporting deficiencies or malfunctions to the appropriate manager. Keep up-to-date with current techniques and developments in Radiographic and Imaging procedures. Aim to achieve a high standard of image quality by:
4. Following exposure charts accurately.
5. Checking images thoroughly and following assessment guidelines where appropriate.
6. Seeking advice from senior staff when necessary.
7. Taking responsibility for ongoing professional development in accordance with CPD requirements.
Essential Criteria
* At least 2 years’ experience in General Diagnostic Radiography.
* Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography.
* Current Radiographer HCPC Registration.
* Qualification in IV cannulation or willingness to train.
* PgCert/Diploma in CT or willingness to train.
Desirable Criteria
* Experience in an acute, busy hospital setting.
