Job overview
Specialist Dietitian – two posts available at Lincoln County Hospital and Pilgrim Hospital Boston. Provide complex nutrition support for inpatients and outpatients, prioritise a busy caseload and gain leadership experience.
Main duties of the job
* Provide support to adult inpatients requiring complex nutrition support, including surgical and medical patients.
* Attend MDTs, best interest meetings and parenteral nutrition sessions as part of the wider multidisciplinary team.
* Contribute to service development, line management and production of new policies and guidelines.
* Travel to all sites on request and to external meetings as required.

Requirements
* HCPC registration.
* Facilitation of Learning training.
* FODMAP Training.
* Membership of BDA or other relevant professional bodies.
* Eligible for DBS clearance.
* Must be able to travel to all sites and external meetings on short notice.
* Car driver licence.
Experience
* Experience of nutritional support across a range of clinical areas.
* At least 12 months’ experience working as a dietitian post‑registration.
* Ability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy.
* Experience of contributing to Clinical Governance.
* Experience of delivering group education sessions.
* Experience with disordered eating and complex nutritional support.
* Experience with enteral feeding via different routes/tubes.
Skills
* Excellent training and presenting skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent organisational skills – timekeeping, note taking, caseload management.
* Up‑to‑date knowledge of evidence base for nutrition support.
* Professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
* Service development experience – writing policies and procedures.
