The Opportunity and Company

Our client a top ten accounting firm globally is currently recruiting for their growing Belfast team - this is a fantastic opportunity to join a global company with a focus on providing tailored solutions to support their clients! The ideal candidate will be degree-educated and looking to start their finance career with a global leader or an experienced administrator looking to join a reputable organization with fantastic opportunities for personal/ career development.

Main Tasks

1. Managing accounting records, including the cash book, purchase ledger, sales ledger, and general ledger.
2. Preparation of bank reconciliations.
3. Arranging for bank payments and transfers and banking of client receipts.
4. Liaising with third parties on behalf of clients insurance companies, and banks.
5. Produces accurate accounting records and other work sets (attention to detail/quality, managing self).
6. Organised and methodical in approach to ensure all tasks are completed according to deadlines set (managing self, goal/results focus).
7. Accountabilities/Key Performance
8. Client deadlines are understood and adhered to.

Criteria

9. 1-2 years of experience within a similar role or a graduate with a placement year would be ideal.
10. Motivated to provide the highest quality service to clients.
11. Self-motivated and organized. Able to plan own time ensuring targets and deadlines are achieved.
12. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
13. Good working knowledge of Excel is essential.
14. Knowledge of accounting principles and systems is not essential but useful.
15. Suggests ways to improve current processes and procedures in place.
16. Able to work well with peers to assist in achieving common goals while also being able to work on your initiative with minimal supervision.
17. Aware of client needs with the ability to act quickly to resolve issues clearly and concisely.
