Job Title: Band 7 Occupational Therapist
Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist looking to make a meaningful impact in the fields of Trauma & Orthopaedics, Vascular Surgery, and General Surgery? Look no further! We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Specialty Occupational Therapist.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality Occupational Therapy services within the specialties of Trauma & Orthopaedics, Vascular Surgery, and General Surgery.
* Manage a diverse caseload of patients with complex trauma, vascular, and surgical conditions.
* Conduct clinical risk management pre and post-operatively, post-injury, or post-diagnosis to optimize functional ability and ensure safe patient discharge.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care for patients across various surgical specialties.
* Actively participate in the development, evaluation, and audit of occupational therapy services.
* Provide leadership, direction, and support for junior staff and students.
* Assist in the management and development of occupational therapy services, including service reviews and audit.
* Take responsibility for defined projects aimed at enhancing patient care and service delivery.
* Provide specialized OT input into education, training, and development programs for staff and students within clinical specialties and the profession.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
* Registration with the relevant professional body and compliance with professional standards and codes of ethics.
* Substantial experience working within Trauma & Orthopaedics, Vascular Surgery, and General Surgery settings.
* Proven ability to manage complex caseloads and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and support junior staff and students.
* Experience in service development, evaluation, and audit is desirable.
* A commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of current practices and research within the field of Occupational Therapy.
