Job Requirements
Overview: Join AeroCloud as Legal Counsel, joining our internal Legal Team. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide top-tier legal support across AeroCloud, focusing on diverse and evolving areas of law to help propel our business forward. You’ll be instrumental in supporting various functions, including commercial operations, corporate affairs, business development, and central support, while developing expertise in areas such as commercial contracts, technology, data protection, regulatory compliance, ESG, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
* Advisory Support: Deliver timely and high-quality legal advice to business units, adhering to aggressive SLAs to drive growth. Provide expertise on commercial contracts, procurement and competition law, disputes, data protection, e-commerce, consumer rights, advertising, IP law, and compliance initiatives (e.g., anti-bribery and whistle-blowing).
* Contract Management: Lead the drafting and negotiation of third-party supplier contracts, particularly focusing on large or complex technology agreements.
* Public Sector Engagement: Draft and negotiate agreements with public authorities for partnerships and initiatives that align with AeroCloud’s Net Zero objectives.
* Bid Support: Act as the lead legal advisor for the business development team, overseeing legal aspects of bids, franchising, and other key commercial projects.
* Dispute Resolution: Provide internal legal support for disputes, ensuring robust defense and resolution strategies.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with risk, compliance, operational teams, and others to ensure legal strategies align with broader business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
Qualifications and Experience:
* Professional Background: Ideally, 2-4 years’ PQE in commercial law, with exposure to technology, IP, procurement, competition, data protection, and consumer law. Candidates with relevant skills and knowledge outside this range are also welcome.
* Experience: Prior exposure to bidding and public service contracts or in-house legal roles is beneficial.
* Technical Expertise: Familiarity with share option schemes (e.g., EMI, Unapproved, ISO, NSO) is desirable.
* SaaS Knowledge: Prior experience working in a SaaS scale-up or technology platform business is essential.

* Strong Academic Foundation: High-quality legal training and strong academic credentials.
* Business Insight: Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong understanding of commercial operations and the ability to engage in strategic discussions.
* Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels within the organization.
* Project Management: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
* Problem Solving: Solution-oriented approach with the agility to handle new and complex issues.
