This is a key role focused on the design, development, and commissioning of control systems for industrial and automation applications. Key Responsibilities Design and develop PLC and HMI control systems for industrial automation projects Produce detailed control system documentation including wiring diagrams, I/O schedules, and functional design specifications Configure and program PLCs (e.g. Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, or Schneider) and HMIs/SCADA systems Support FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) activities Provide on-site commissioning and technical support as required Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to deliver integrated solutions Ensure compliance with relevant industry and safety standards Identify and implement control system improvements to enhance performance and reliability About You Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical, Control, or Automation Engineering (or equivalent experience) Proven experience in PLC and HMI/SCADA programming within an industrial environment Strong understanding of control panel design, instrumentation, and electrical systems Experience with industrial communication protocols (Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, etc.) Ability to read and create electrical drawings using AutoCAD or EPLAN Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team Willingness to travel occasionally for site work and commissioning Benefits Salary up to £60,000 depending on experience Annual performance bonus Company pension scheme 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Flexible working hours and hybrid options (project-dependent) Professional development and training opportunities Supportive, team-focused environment
