Responsibilities: WebMD/Medscape is looking for a qualified Marketing Director to join the Medscape Global (OUS) and US Education Teams focused on markets worldwide. The Marketing Director will focus on leading the B2B education marketing team to strategize and execute marketing projects in various mediums. Acting as a player/coach, the Marketing Director will work closely with sales colleagues, manage high-level initiatives, and mentor a team of marketers. The director will stay current on industry marketing trends to educate and grow the team's capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and mentor a team of marketers based in the US and UK
* Lead the development of Medscape Education's strategic plan for both Global (OUS) and US initiatives
* Strategize with sales leadership to support local, regional, and global markets across therapy areas
* Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders on marketing or design requests
* Manage industry partnerships and presence at industry events
* Identify opportunities to improve marketing team processes
* Support strategic partnerships and government teams with marketing solutions
* Develop core messaging, value propositions, and thought leadership to enhance the Medscape Education brand
Skills and Capabilities:
* Knowledge of global pharmaceutical or medical education markets; experience in medical affairs is a plus
* Proactive with strong self-direction
* Ability to engage internal stakeholders to achieve objectives
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Detail-oriented and deadline-focused
* Strong project management skills
* Resourceful with the ability to take projects from idea to execution quickly
* Strategic and creative thinker, inquisitive, willing to evaluate and change current processes
* Comfortable presenting to internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications:
* 4-year degree in marketing, business, or related field
* 10+ years of marketing management experience with increasing responsibility
* Experience mentoring and managing marketers
* Experience working closely with sales teams to develop marketing strategies
* Experience managing team budgets
* Ability to work cooperatively with staff, share ideas, and develop effective responses
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changes
* Healthcare education marketing experience is preferred
