The Role
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Auditor to join our Technical team on a Panama Shift pattern, 6am to 6pm.
You will form part of a multi-disciplinary team to carry out quality assurance duties in all areas of the business on a rota basis. You will provide detailed inspection data in relation to our customers and specifications throughout the quality chain, including start-up, online and packing room checks.
Responsibilities
* Sample, test, audit and monitor to verify that all processes, procedures, and products are being manufactured in a safe and compliant manner and that the site is audit-ready.
* Conduct various audit types such as CCP compliance, Internal audits, Traceability exercises, Codes of Practice audits, Line audits, Hygiene and Fabrication audits, ensuring that they are detailed and any actions arising from them are communicated, followed up and closed out with the relevant owner.
* Support the production team on resolving product food safety and or quality issues, determine and action products to be put "on hold". Facilitate investigations into specific incidents i.e. foreign body contamination, quality rejections under the guidance of the QA Manager.
* Investigate customer complaints to provide data which informs resolution.
* Conduct verification checks to ensure equipment is suitably calibrated to comply with required standards.
* Host an organoleptic panel to ensure consistent quality.
* Complete all necessary documentation, ensuring that it is kept accurate and ready for internal and external audits, highlighting when non-conformance requires corrective action.
* Set up product labelling in the factory to ensure it is fully compliant.
* Maintain ongoing communications with the operations team and other relevant functions, ensuring they are fully aware of quality assurance activities, results and trends.
* Collect all relevant samples, with adherence to procedures and protocols, to ensure quality, safety and legality of products sampled.
You Will Have
* Strong analytical skills with a focus on quality assurance processes
* In-depth knowledge of HACCP principles and practices
* Experience in conducting audits and assessments
* Ability to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
* Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
Pay & Benefits
* Pay: £26,000 - £30,000 per annum (based on experience)
