Role Overview

Our team of hundreds of skilled experts keep Formula 1 moving. You could play a vital part as a Senior Electronics Engineer (FRO) to design, build, integrate, maintain, and support the electrical and electromechanical systems required for Sea Freight operations.

The F1 Electronics department produces a wide range of customised and bespoke solutions to support the timing, televising, and organisation of Formula 1 events. We architect and design embedded systems for F1 cars to provide team telemetry and driver/engineer audio, and to deliver on-board video and audio for F1 broadcasters and digital platforms. This is in addition to a variety of other electronics solutions designed by our small in‑house team to support any aspect of an F1 event.

* Design, build, assemble, and test electrical and electromechanical equipment, including wiring looms, harnesses, and electrical enclosures.
* Perform maintenance, servicing, and fault‑finding on equipment using appropriate tools and test equipment.
* Produce and maintain multiple equipment sets for Sea Freight operations, ensuring consistency and build quality.
* Take product requirements and break them down to hardware level requirements.
* Support design tasks, such as loom drawings, enclosure layouts, component selection, and minor PCB updates.
* Integrate off‑the‑shelf electronic components into complete, reliable system assemblies.
* Carry out functional testing, verification, and documentation to ensure equipment is ready for deployment.
* Maintain accurate build, service, and configuration documentation, and contribute to improving processes.
* Participate in project and engineering review meetings, providing updates and contributing to planning, testing, and documentation activities.
* Support engineering processes by preparing accurate technical documentation and ensuring alignment with project and quality requirements.
* Maintain a proactive, solutions‑focused approach to resolving issues and ensuring continuity of operations.
