Prepare cable specimens and test assemblies according to relevant fire testing standards.

Install and mount cables on test ladders, trays, and supports required for testing.
Verify that all test equipment and instrumentation are operational and calibrated prior to testing.
Working to standards, directives, and UKAS accreditation procedures.
Effective working on WRR & WIP sheet.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of fire testing equipment and laboratory facilities.
Assist with calibration checks and basic equipment verification where required.
Record results prepare test record sheets.
Liaison with internal departments, work collaboratively with the cables testing team to deliver client work.
Help in Internal audit & UKAS audit.
Working with customers and managing projects whenever appropriate.
Same day sample delivery notification to the person who is concerned.
Follow the risk & safety guidelines and the procedures.
Follow strict laboratory safety procedures when working with open flames, high temperatures, and combustion gases and wear appropriate PPE during preparation of samples and testing.
Ensure safe handling and disposal of burned cable materials and residues.
Comply with laboratory quality procedures and testing standards.
Customer-related witness testing.
Assist with maintenance and monitoring of our safety and environmental protection systems.
Maintain housekeeping. Ensure health & safety of self, staff, and visitors on site
