Start Date: ASAP Duration: 3 months (Full/Part-time available) Opening Paragraph: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Locum Adult Acute Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Queen’s Medical Centre and City Hospital Campus in Nottingham. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic multidisciplinary team, providing essential speech and language therapy services to adult patients with complex communication and swallowing difficulties. The role offers flexibility for both full-time and part-time candidates and provides a great chance to contribute to the care and rehabilitation of patients in an acute healthcare setting. Responsibilities: As a Locum Adult Acute Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of adults with swallowing and communication disorders, including those with dysphagia. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver tailored interventions that improve the quality of life for patients. Your role will include managing a caseload of patients, conducting assessments, developing therapy plans, and providing education and support to patients and their families. You will also be expected to work independently, with the ability to manage complex cases and provide high-quality care. Qualifications and Experience: A recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree/qualification. HCPC registration. At least 2 years’ clinical experience, with a minimum of 1 year of adult acute experience. Ideally, NHS experience. Established knowledge of assessment and therapeutic interventions for patients with swallowing and communication difficulties. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Ability to work autonomously, managing a diverse caseload of patients. Why Work with Pulse? At Pulse, our priority is you. From the moment you register with us, we focus entirely on your needs and goals. Reasonable Adjustments: If you consider yourself to have a disability or require any reasonable adjustment during the recruitment process or within the workplace, please highlight this at the earliest opportunity by contacting our team. With this information, we will provide the appropriate support to you throughout the recruitment process and into your work placement.
