About the Role We are seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school team in the Bridgnorth / Wolverhampton area. You will work alongside teachers, the SENCO, and other professionals to support pupils with additional learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with a range of special educational needs, including learning, communication and behavioural challenges.
Support pupils’ academic progress, social development and emotional wellbeing.
Assist with planning and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) or tailored learning activities.
Use positive behaviour strategies, promote inclusion and encourage independent learning.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, therapists and parents to meet individual pupil needs.What We’re Looking For
A passion for supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with pupils and staff.
Ability to use creative and flexible strategies to support learning and behaviour.
Relevant qualification(s) such as Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning or SEND-specific training (desirable).
Experience working in a school or with children is beneficial, but enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are equally valued.What We Offer
