About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated, patient, and enthusiasticSEND Teaching Assistantto provide 1:1 support for a pupil with special educational needs in our welcoming mainstream primary school. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s school experience, helping them to thrive both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with SEND, in line with their individual education plan (IEP)
* Assist the pupil in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities
* Work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and external professionals to implement strategies that support the pupil’s development
* Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to staff and parents/carers where appropriate
* Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that encourages independence, confidence, and engagement
* Support the pupil with emotional regulation and positive behaviour management
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Previous experience working with children with SEND (especially on a 1:1 basis)
* A calm, adaptable, and compassionate approach to supporting learning and wellbeing
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A good understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential

Pay: £82.14-£85.00 per day
Schedule:
* Day shift
* Monday to Friday
* No weekends
Experience:
* SEND: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
* DBS on the Update Service (preferred)
