What you will be doing
You will be on a development pathway to guide your growth into the role of Systems Engineer and can expect to be involved in the following:
The development of Software Defined Radio (SDR) solutions for modems. The work will primarily involve systems engineering tasks for the development of military satellite communications equipment. This will include definition of system architecture to meet systems requirements, interface specifications, development of verification plans etc. In addition, you will also be involved in the planning, implementation, installation/deployment of solutions created by the team!
Within the role knowledge of the following tools and technologies will be developed:
* Matlab (e.g the modelling of waveforms)
* Digital Signal Processing (DSP) for analysis modification and synthesizing signals.
* Use of Atlassian toolset (e.g. JIRA and Confluence for agile software development)
* Use of PTC Windchill for configuration management applications
* Use of Enterprise architect and / or DOORs for managing system architecture / requirements.
* Use of Microsoft Office applications
Enrolled graduates will also learn about systems development, project planning and implementation, change management, the software lifecycle and much more.
As part of the scheme your development pathway will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into position. Placements may be any one of several departments that interface with engineering team for example, Quality, Project Management Office (PMO), Procurement, Commodities, Configuration Management, Commercial etc.
Throughout the two-year development programme you will have developed into the position of Systems Engineer.
What we are looking for
To be a successful applicant to the Airbus Global Graduate Programme, you will need to demonstrate you have:
* A degree level or equivalent within a relevant field of study
* Recently graduated or first professional experience in a matching or related engineering discipline (e.g. software, mechanical, RF or systems engineering).
* Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English)
* A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation
* The ability to be self-aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
